Annie Wu

3 – 26 November 2013

Annie Wu is an artist and designer who recently relocated back to Melbourne after living and working in the Netherlands for the last 5 years, where she obtained a Masters in Fine Art at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Her work exists primarily in the form of artist publications, drawings, prints, fabric sculptures and other public interventions. Her practice is engaged with the use of a graphical and structural language that draws on the history of abstraction, modernism, as well as absurdist gestures in art, game psychology, and the playful potential of language.

For Plinth Projects, Annie Wu has made a simple and humorous gesture that aims to prolong the visibility of the support structure as a work of art in the absence of the Queen.
