Plinth Projects presents a new work by Melbourne artist Renee Cosgrave in October 2013. Often creating simple painting designs that are then employed onto large surface areas, Cosgrave's works are made by hand and are repetitive and time-consuming to produce. For this exhibition the artist has painted directly onto the Queen Victoria Plinth, in an extension of paintings she is currently making in the studio.

Renee Cosgrave completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at Monash University in 2009. Recent exhibitions include painting / sculpture / wall work / floor work, Stockroom, Kyneton, Victoria, 2013; New Babylon, Next Wave Festival, 2012 and Merryn Then Renee, Platform Contemporary Art Space, Melbourne, 2011.
