Spiros Panigirakis

7 – 30 April 2013

Our 2013 exhibition program continues in April with new work by Spiros Panigirakis. A Tentative Sign examines the privileged position of the plinth and how it is framed by some pieces of garden infrastructure. It is a temporary response to the problem of engaging in the plinth's vertical axis and seeks to engage in more slight built form.

Spiros Panigirakis is an artist who is interested in how presentational devices, furniture and organisational frameworks influence the construction of meaning, form and sociability. He teaches in the Faculty of Art Design and Architecture at Monash University and is represented by Sarah Scout, Melbourne
